Managing Surveys
BoundaryAI provides a structured approach to managing both individual surveys and survey series, allowing you to organize, filter, and delete surveys efficiently.
BoundaryAI structures all surveys within a Survey Series. When creating a new survey, you have two options:
Create the survey within a specific Survey Series – The survey will be grouped within that series, allowing for tracking, comparisons, and long-term analysis.
Create the survey without assigning it to a Survey Series – The survey will automatically be placed in the “Individual Surveys” series. In this case, it will not be linked to other surveys for tracking or comparative analysis.
This means that every survey is always part of a series—either a custom one you create or the default “Individual Surveys” series.
Navigating the Surveys Section
The Surveys section provides a complete list of all surveys, allowing you to filter and sort them for easier management.
Filtering Surveys by Status
Surveys are categorized into three sections:
• Pending: Surveys that are created but not yet launched.
• Published: Surveys that are live and actively collecting responses.
• Closed: Surveys that are completed and no longer accepting responses.
You can toggle between these tabs to quickly find the surveys based on their current status.
Sorting Surveys Alphabetically
• Surveys can be sorted alphabetically by clicking the arrow icon next to the Survey Title column.
• This helps in organizing large numbers of surveys and quickly locating specific ones.
Navigating the Survey Series Section
• The Survey Series section groups surveys under specific topics.
• Individual surveys that are not part of a series are placed in the “Individual Surveys” category.
• Surveys that belong to a specific series will be grouped under their respective series, keeping related surveys together.
This structure helps in comparing trends across multiple related surveys while maintaining an organized workflow.
Deleting a Survey or a Survey Series
BoundaryAI allows you to delete both individual surveys and entire survey series when they are no longer needed.
Deleting a Survey
1. Go to the Surveys section.
2. Click the three-dot menu next to the survey you want to delete.
3. Select “Delete” and confirm the action.
Deleting a Survey Series
1. Go to the Survey Series section.
2. Click the three-dot menu next to the series you want to delete.
3. Select “Delete” and confirm the action.
Important Notes:
• Deleting a survey permanently removes it from the system. Make sure to export any important data before deletion.
• Deleting a Survey Series will also delete all surveys within it. If you want to keep the surveys, move them to another series before deleting.
• Surveys that are Closed will remain unless manually deleted.
Best Practices for Managing Surveys and Survey Series
• Use Survey Series to track long-term trends – Avoid leaving surveys in “Individual Surveys” if tracking is needed.
• Filter by status to streamline your workflow – Use Pending, Published, and Closed tabs to navigate surveys efficiently.
• Sort surveys alphabetically – Helps manage large numbers of surveys more effectively.
• Delete unnecessary surveys and series – Keeping your workspace clean improves organization and efficiency.
By properly structuring and managing surveys within Survey Series, you can maintain an organized, efficient, and data-driven survey workflow in BoundaryAI.
