# Benchmarking your NPS

On any NPS analysis, open the **Benchmarking** view to compare your score with industry standards.

The view subtitle is **Compare your NPS with industry standards.**

### Choosing an industry

Start with **Select a category**. Then choose **Select a subcategory**. In some layouts, this appears as **Select Industry for Comparison**.

Until both are selected, the page shows: *Select a category and subcategory to see the score.*

Benchmarks are grouped into four top-level categories:

* **B2B**
* **B2C**
* **Academic**
* **HR (eNPS)**

### Reading the comparison

Once you choose a category and subcategory, the **Visual Comparison** chart plots:

* **Your Organization**
* **Industry Average**

Below the chart, the gap appears in plain language. For example:

* *Your NPS score is 12 points above the industry average.*
* *Your NPS score is 8 points under the industry average.*

Use this view to see whether your score is leading, matching, or trailing the benchmark for your industry slice.
